Can ordinary folks like
us become rich (Iêm assuming most of you
are ordinary folks, but in case Bill Gates
is reading my reviews, no offense)? Is it
possible to accumulate wealth even if you
start later in life? Will your children
be able to retire millionaires? These and
other important financial questions are
touched upon in Joseph Judahês A Dozen Golden
Eggs, a very brief but useful and inspiring
introduction into the world of financial
responsibility and prosperity.
I say a very brief introduction
because, unlike the much more detailed books
by the likes of Suze Orman, this book clocks
in under one hundred pages and may leave
some readers feeling like they just havenêt
been given enough information. But this
little book does serve as a great introductory
course into the most pressing issues involving
financial independence and security and
certainly gives readers a great starting
point for their own further research and
investigation.
Like most books about
financial planning, we learn about the dangers
of debt, the wonders of compound interest,
the power of having time on your side, and
the spiritual connection to money. Judah,
a financial advisor with a large clientele,
seeks to bridge the gap between spirituality
and financial prosperity, and, like Ormanês
books, he does a nice job of showing how
our attitudes about money often shape our
outer manifestation of abundance, or lack
of it.
There is good and solid
advice about investments and the power of
compounded interest to help build a small
or large fortune, depending on when you
start your savings. And there is a lot of
inspiration to help you set, and reach,
your financial goals. But if it is real
meat you are looking for, you may be better
off sticking with Orman. A Dozen Golden
Eggs only touches on certain investment
funds to seek out, and financial web sites
to visit, but still lacks a lot of the detail
the more novice investors might need to
feel really comfortable going out there
and starting up a portfolio.
Still, if you have been
dreaming of beginning your journey towards
prosperity and future financial freedom,
this is a nice book to get you excited and
help direct your path. Hopefully, with the
advise in this book, you will find your
dozen golden eggs and make wise use of them.
